ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. We thank the community of St. Victoria who cleaned the church yesterday, they were 10 in number. Next week the Community of St. Steven will be on duty, to be followed by the community of St. Joseph.

  2. We are signing up adult who have not yet received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion, Eucharist or Confirmation. All jumuiya’s leaders are asked to direct those of their members in need of these services to visit the Catechists’ office from 3pm on working days.

  3. The parish raffle tickets are still available at the parish office, the vocational training shop here at the parish, at the youth shop and at the table selling sacraments of Catechist John close to the main entrance of the church. You are all encouraged to buy as many tickets as possible so as to boost your chances of winning the grand prizes. 

  4. Lady Chesam announces that it has started registering children for 2026. Those eligible are children aged two and a half to five years old. The deadline for collecting the registration forms is 15/12/2025. For more information, please read on the notes board.

  5. Representatives from Radio Maria will be with us here on 21/12/25. They will be selling calenders at 5,000, vikois at 15,000 and vitenge at 35,000 at all Masses. For all of you who have not yet returned the envelopes for Kapu la Mama, please plan to return them on that date. If you have lost or misplaced your envelope, just put your contribution in an envelope.

  6. The sacrament of Confession will be available here at the parish before Christmas on Tuesday 23/12/2025 from 3pm – 6pm Priests from various parishes here in the Diocese will be available that day. For Confessions in other parishes in the diocese, please check the noticeboard.

  7. The Carers of the Holy Child will hold their elections on 21/12/2025 in one of the classrooms here at the parish. All those involved are urged to ensure they attend.

  8. The Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam through the Department of Pastoral Care and various other committees is preparing a syllabus for spiritual education after Confirmation to be called “Safari ya Emaus”. Once the exercise is over, there will be an official announcement on the same.

  9. The Youth Mission here at the parish invites all the youth to a Youth Mass at Bagamoyo beach on Saturday 27/12/2025. The costs of transport and food will be Tshs 10,000. Those interested should sign up at the UVIPO shop. Well-wishers who would like to support the event should liaise with the UVIPO leadership.

  10. We have started registering candidates for First Holy Communion and Confirmation classes in the English language. Those coming from within the Parish should bring a letter of identification from their Small Christian Community with a baptism certificate. Those coming from outside the parish should bring a letter of identification from their Parish Priest with a baptism certificate.
