We are very grateful to the St. Michael Small Christian Community (Jumuiya) who cleaned the church yesterday. They were 19 in total. Next week it will be the turn of the St. Raphael Community, followed by the St. Scholastica Community.
His Grace Most Reverend Archbishop Jude Thadeus Ruwa'ichi OFM, Cap invites all priests, religious, and faithful to participate in the Holy Mass for the launch of the National Tour of the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, which will take place at Msimbazi Parish on Sunday, 31/05/2026 at 10:30 PM. The Mass will be preceded by a procession with the statue of Mother Virgin Mary starting from St. Joseph's Cathedral from 8:00 PM.
Last Sunday, we requested each community to contribute 100,000 Shillings towards preparations for a short reception to congratulate the upcoming future Priests of our Parish. We continue to request and urge those communities that have not yet submitted their contributions to the Parish office to do so promptly.
Next Sunday is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). The Mass schedule will be as follows:
First Mass: 12:00 AM
Second Mass (English): 2:00 AM
Mass to celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ: 4:00 AM
After the Mass, there will be a procession . This year, because the section of Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road from the Don Bosco gate to the Haile Selassie Road traffic lights is still under maintenance, the Holy Eucharist procession will pass through the road behind the church to Twiga Bar, continue towards the Makangira Local Government/Mtaa Offices, circle back from the Mbuyu field, and return to the church via Haile Selassie Road. The protocol for decorating the procession routes and the procession order has been sent to WhatsApp groups and posted on the notice board.
On 3/06, our Parish will receive the Cross of the Holy Childhood from Anna Hananasif Parish at 10:00 PM. The rotation schedule of the Cross within our Sub-parishes (Kanda) has already been sent to the Zone/Kanda Chairpersons. This Cross will remain at our Parish until 13/06, when we will hand it over to St. Joseph's Parish. There will be Catechism for children on 6/06 here at the Parish and on 9/06 at Kigangoni. We are requested to encourage our children to participate in all stages of escorting the Cross through our Zones and to attend the Catechism.
