A Doctor’s / Physician’s Prayer

Give to my eyes, Dear Lord,

the power to see the hidden

source of ill.

Give to my hands skill and

tenderness.

Grant that my ears be swift to

hear the cry of those in pain.

Give to my lips the words that

bring comfort and hope again.

Give to me, Dear Lord, strength

for this selfless service and

enable me to heal those I am

called to serve.
